New Gorbals Housing Association (NGHA) has partnered with HomeMaster to deliver an integrated housing and finance system to manage its 4,600 properties in and around Glasgow.

NGHA wanted to move away from individual standalone modules to a modern, fully-integrated system that would incorporate housing management, finance, factoring and repairs. After a comprehensive open procurement process via the Public Contracts Scotland website, HomeMaster came out on top.

Jean Miller, Chairperson at NGHA comments: “HomeMaster is also the only housing and finance management system to offer ARC reporting as standard. As well as providing the level of key performance information required in each module, it also provides the validation information in the same report. This will enable us to produce our annual return to the regulator much quicker and more efficiently.”

As well as modernising and integrating their housing and finance management system, NGHA were keen for their external operatives to be able to access the repairs system in real time.

“In addition, we need the capability for all of our staff work remotely and via their hand held devices, and they can do that from day one with HomeMaster” says Jean. “As the whole system is web-based and everyone uses the same software whether they are in the office or out on site, there’s no need to download additional apps once the system is live. This also makes training much easier and enables staff to get up to speed more quickly.”

Jean adds: “Because of the lengthy procurement process, we have a tight timeframe in which to go live. The team at HomeMaster have already gone above and beyond to make that happen.”
