Prospect Community Housing Partners with HomeMaster
Prospect Community Housing in Edinburgh has partnered with HomeMaster to deliver a sophisticated & robust finance system that integrates with its Civica Cx housing management system.
HomeMaster won the contract via a tendering process due to three main factors:
- It is a web-based system so allows easy hybrid working and doesn’t require an in-house server and the associated resource overheads.
- There is no up-front capital expenditure due to the annual pricing structure.
- It’s intuitive: The finance department really liked the user interface of HomeMaster and the functionality it offers.
HomeMaster and Prospect Community Housing signed contracts in November 2022 and requested to go live by the beginning of April 2023. With the two organisations working closely and meeting all deadlines, the target date was met, completing the implementation successfully in four months.

HomeMaster’s lead consultant on the project also has a professional finance background so had both the technical and financial expertise to understand what we needed. Creating all the import routines to transfer data from the housing system was actually seamless.”

We came up with various requests during the project, which were incorporated into the product really quickly once reviewed and approved. This was just in a matter of weeks, and in my experience, it can potentially take years.
“HomeMaster allows effective hybrid working for our staff and has delivered an automated robust process around invoicing at an affordable price,” concludes Brendan. “Several other housing associations recommended HomeMaster to us and everything they said was true!”
